Well, it all got too hard to try and convert a DVD file to post on this blog, soooooooh, I've now got a link for both theLUCKY LYDIA trailer and the pilot episode. Here we go....
Dunderheads was a pitch for an animated tv. series that I conceived, designed and directed with the financial help of Film Graphics. There is no dialogue on this show, instead it is musically driven. The shorts were to be 3 or 4 minutes in duration. This idea was never picked up but it was a lot of fun working on it.
Just a bit of an experiment, back in the late 90's. It was an attempt to do the whole illo. using Photoshop only, no roughs or scanned in blue pencil drawings.
Several years ago I was asked to design a cartoon version of Jackie Chan for an animated title sequence on one of his films. The design was rejected on the grounds that I made him look too Chinese.
I can't remember the brand, but this was a pitch for some fabric softener. We didn't get the job. I later saw it on a European channel and the characters were not like this.
All I can remember about this, is that an ad agency was looking to make a tvc. that used mixed animation styles. Among others, I chucked this in for the rubber hose part. The ad was never made.
Born in Uruguay, Raised in 'Straya. Worked all over in animation for 30 years . Cranky but loveable. Does not like long walks on beaches, salads, or wearing loafers.
I decided to post up some of the stuff that I've worked on over the last ten years or so. A mixed bag really, some of this material made it, some of it never even saw the light of day. Most of this will be posted randomly, not in the order of history so I'll attempt to explain the stuff along the way.
